You talk to me, not a middleman.
When you email TSMW Development, I read it and I reply. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. Nothing gets lost in a hand-off because there isn't one.

I'm Thomas Watson, a UK-based software engineer with 11 years' experience. I've built across insurance, eCommerce and fintech — a greenfield microservices platform at Covéa, re-architecting Pimberly's eCommerce platform for scale, and leading eCommerce consultancy for UK clients at Nexer. Earlier in my career I was the sole developer on a fitness startup: the app, the backend and the infrastructure were all mine. That mix — serious enterprise engineering plus having owned an entire product end to end — is exactly what a small business needs: one senior person who can handle the whole thing and leads with the outcome, not the jargon. I'm at my best when a business has a messy, manual process and needs someone who can understand it, simplify it, and build something reliable that just works.

Why work with one person
I spent years working inside agencies and on big enterprise projects — cloud platforms, AI systems, and software for blue-chip teams. It taught me how to build things that are reliable, secure, and maintainable, not just things that demo well.
But it also showed me how much gets lost in big setups: the person who understands your problem is rarely the person who writes the code, and small businesses end up paying agency prices for junior work and slow hand-offs.
So TSMW Development is deliberately small — it's me. When you work with me, you get someone senior on every part of the job, who talks in plain English, and who's still there when you need a change six months later. When a project genuinely needs more hands, I bring in trusted collaborators and tell you exactly who's doing what.
Principles
When you email TSMW Development, I read it and I reply. The person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. Nothing gets lost in a hand-off because there isn't one.
If your idea is simpler than you think, I'll say so. If it's outside what I do well, I'll tell you and point you somewhere better. I'd rather lose a project than sell you the wrong thing.
I build software you understand and control, with the details written down — not a black box only I can touch. If we ever stop working together, you're not stranded.
You don't care whether it's built in C# or TypeScript — you care that bookings come in, admin disappears, and the thing doesn't break. I lead with what changes for your business, and keep the tech under the hood where it belongs.
It's just me on the other end. I'll spend 30 minutes understanding what you're trying to do — no sales pitch, no obligation.
No deck. No drip campaign. One reply.
