3D & interactive experiences
Configurators, virtual tours, and things people remember.
Real-time 3D that runs in an ordinary browser — product configurators, virtual tours and interactive visualisations, with no plugin or app to install.
Most websites in your industry look like each other. Real-time 3D is one of the few things that still stops someone scrolling — a product they can spin and configure, a space they can walk through, a process they can watch happen. It runs in a normal browser with nothing to install. I built the real-time 3D virtual tours of the EU Parliament, running natively in the browser across 24 languages, working with a distributed team across Europe.

When this service makes sense
You probably need this if…
You sell something configurable — colours, sizes, materials, options — and photos can't show every combination.
You sell a space or a venue and want people to walk it before they visit.
Your product is complex enough that people need to see how it works, not read about it.
You want a site that people remember and talk about, in a market where everyone looks the same.
You have CAD or 3D models sitting unused that could be doing sales work.
How I approach it
My approach, step by step.
- 01
Start from what it has to sell
3D for its own sake is expensive decoration. I start from the decision your customer is stuck on — which finish, will it fit, what's it actually like inside — and build the interaction that answers it.
- 02
Optimise so it runs on a phone
The difference between an impressive demo and a working sales tool is whether it loads on a mid-range phone on mobile data. Models get optimised, textures compressed, and loading staged, so it's usable rather than a benchmark.
- 03
Build the real thing, in the browser
Three.js, WebGL and Babylon.js — the same toolset behind the EU Parliament tours. No plugins, no app download, no separate viewer: it's just part of your website.
- 04
Wire it into the business
A configurator that ends in a quote request, a saved configuration, or an order is worth many times one that ends in applause. The 3D connects to your enquiry form, pricing or checkout.
- 05
Make it accessible and findable
Text alternatives and a non-3D fallback path, so the page still works for search engines, screen readers and older devices — the interactive layer enhances the page instead of hiding it.
What you get
Concrete deliverables.
- A real-time 3D experience running in the browser, on desktop and mobile
- Optimised models and assets, prepared from your CAD, scans or new modelling
- Configuration or tour logic tied into enquiries, quotes or checkout
- Accessible fallbacks so the page works without the 3D layer
- Multi-language support where you need it
Typical timeline
A focused configurator or single-space tour typically runs a few weeks, most of which is asset preparation rather than code. Larger experiences are staged. Day-rate with a two-week minimum, quoted after a free call.

Common questions
What clients usually ask.
Will it work on phones and slower connections?
That's the main engineering challenge, and it's designed for from the start: optimised geometry, compressed textures, progressive loading, and a graceful fallback for devices that can't handle it. A 3D feature that only works on a gaming laptop isn't a business tool.
I don't have 3D models — is that a problem?
No. Models can be created from photos, drawings or physical samples, or converted from CAD files you already have from manufacturing. Asset preparation is usually the largest part of the project, and I'll be straight with you about the cost before we start.
Does 3D hurt my SEO?
Not when it's built properly. The page is still a normal, fast, indexable page with real text — the 3D is an enhancement layered on top, loaded so it doesn't block the content search engines read.
What does 3D work cost?
More than a standard page and less than most people assume, with the balance usually falling on asset preparation rather than development. It's day-rate with a two-week minimum, quoted after a free call once we know the models involved.
