Mobile apps
One build, live on the web and in the app stores.
Cross-platform iOS and Android apps built from a single codebase shared with your web app — push notifications, offline use, in-app payments, and store submission handled.
Native apps used to mean building your product twice — one team for iOS, another for Android — and most small businesses were priced out. Building both from one shared codebase changes that: your web app and your mobile apps come from the same source, so a feature is built once and appears everywhere. I've shipped an Android app this way for an energy platform, to widen its audience without doubling the build.

When this service makes sense
You probably need this if…
Your customers expect an app icon on their phone, not a bookmark.
You need push notifications to bring people back — reminders, alerts, updates.
Your product needs to work where there's no signal, or use the camera, GPS or biometrics.
You've been quoted for separate iOS and Android builds and the numbers don't stack up.
You already have a web app and want it in the app stores without starting over.
How I approach it
My approach, step by step.
- 01
Decide honestly whether you need an app
Plenty of businesses are better served by a fast mobile website or an installable web app (PWA) than by a store listing nobody downloads. I'll tell you which you actually need before you spend money on the wrong one.
- 02
One codebase, both stores
Built with Capacitor over a modern web stack, so the same product powers your website, your web app and both mobile apps. Features get built once; fixes land everywhere at the same time.
- 03
Use the phone properly
Push notifications, offline behaviour, camera, location, biometric login and in-app payments — the parts that justify being an app in the first place, wired in natively.
- 04
Get through review, not stuck in it
App Store and Play Store submissions have rules that reject the unprepared: privacy declarations, account deletion, payment policy, screenshots and metadata. I prepare and submit the listings so the launch isn't a fortnight of rejections.
What you get
Concrete deliverables.
- iOS and Android apps from a single shared codebase
- Store listings prepared and submitted, including privacy declarations
- Push notifications and offline behaviour where they matter
- In-app payments or subscriptions configured to store rules
- Update pipeline so future changes reach both stores quickly
Typical timeline
If you already have a web app, mobile builds can follow within days. From scratch, it's the web app timeline plus the store submission cycle — allow one to two weeks for review and listing on top of the build. Day-rate with a two-week minimum, quoted after a free call.

Common questions
What clients usually ask.
Is a cross-platform app as good as a native one?
For the overwhelming majority of business apps, yes — and users can't tell. Native only wins for heavy graphics, intense real-time processing, or deep platform-specific features. If your idea genuinely needs that, I'll say so rather than sell you the cheaper build.
Do I need an Apple and Google developer account?
Yes — the apps must be published under your own accounts so you own the listings. They cost roughly £79/year for Apple and a one-off ~£20 for Google. I'll walk you through setup and handle everything technical inside them.
Will Apple take a cut of my sales?
Only for digital goods and subscriptions consumed inside the app — physical goods and real-world services are exempt and can use normal card payments. How you structure this materially affects your margins, so it's worth designing deliberately, and I'll lay out the options before we build.
What does a mobile app cost?
Substantially less than the two-separate-builds quote you may have had, because it's one codebase. It's day-rate work with a two-week minimum, with a fixed written quote after a free scoping call.
